People usually launch contests, awards and other such things of their own on a special occasion- like their blog’s or their own birthday. But I, like Lewis Carroll, am going to do so on my unbirthday instead. After all, you have 364 unbirthdays and only one birthday, like he so insightfully said.
You don’t need to be Sherlock to know that it is the Raw Poetry Contest I’m launching today.

The Dark Half
This week, I’ve decided to do a flash fiction challenge. It’s created by the amazingly creative Chuck Wendig, who’s asked us to put a spin on titles of Stephen King’s books. Now, I absolutely adore Mr. King, so of course I jumped at this challenge. What we basically have to do is steal the title, but not the story. His title, my story. Without further ado, let’s grab a snack and get into it.
Writer’s Block-A Conversation with my brain
Me: So it’s blog-day Sunday today, and I swear I’m gonna write something. No excuses.
My Brain: Oh yeah? What about the first chapter of Geography- Resources and Development?
Me: Alright. I’ll write a haiku. It won’t take much time.
My Brain: Don’t kid yourself. You’ve never written a haiku before.
